What patients say

4.9 from 268 Google reviews

“I told Dr. Tran I was scared of having my neck cracked and she never once pushed it. Gentle work, three stretches, and my headaches went from daily to maybe once a week inside a month.”

  • Threw my back out loading a trailer on a Saturday and they fit me in before noon. Dr. Qureshi said I would need about six visits. It was five. Nobody tried to sell me a year-long plan.

  • Sciatica through my whole third trimester. They adjusted everything for the pregnancy, explained each step, and my insurance was billed right the first time.

Your first visit, step by step

About an hour, no surprises, and nothing decided without you.

  1. We talk first

You tell us where it hurts, when it started, what makes it worse, and what you want to get back to doing.

  2. A hands-on exam

We check how your spine, hips and shoulders move, test strength and reflexes, and refer for imaging only when the result would change your care.

  3. Treatment, if it is safe today

Most first visits include treatment. Adjustments are optional; we use gentle, low-force techniques if you would rather not be cracked.

  4. A plan with an end date

You leave with two or three exercises, how many visits we expect, and what they cost with your insurance. No prepaid packages.

Meet the doctors

About the practice
Dr. Leah Tran

Dr. Leah Tran, DC

Founder and chiropractor

Dr. Tran opened Kestrel Ridge in 2014 after five years in a high-volume clinic, where she decided she would rather see fewer patients and discharge them sooner. She trained at the University of Western States in Portland and holds additional certification in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic.

She is the doctor most of our first-time and nervous patients ask for. Outside the clinic she rides the Boise Greenbelt year round and grows far too many tomatoes.

Dr. Samir Qureshi

Dr. Samir Qureshi, DC, CCSP

Chiropractor, sports and spine

Dr. Qureshi joined the clinic in 2019 after working with collegiate athletes as a certified chiropractic sports physician. He trained at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota and focuses on low back pain, sciatica and running and lifting injuries.

He likes a clear plan and a measurable goal, whether that is a pain-free drive to work or a half marathon. Weekends usually find him on the Foothills trails.

Chiropractic without the lifetime plan

Many people put off seeing a chiropractor because they expect to be told they need three visits a week for a year. We do not work that way. At your first visit we find out what is actually wrong, explain it with a spine model rather than jargon, and tell you roughly how many visits it should take. Then we try to beat that number.

Treatment is hands-on and tailored to you. Some people like a traditional adjustment; others prefer gentle instrument-assisted or drop-table techniques. Everyone leaves with two or three exercises, because what you do between visits matters more than anything we do on the table.

Serving Boise and the Treasure Valley

Our clinic is on N 15th Street in the North End, a few minutes from downtown Boise, with free parking behind the building. Patients come from Meridian, Garden City, Eagle and Nampa, and early starts at 7 AM plus Saturday mornings mean most people can come in before work.

Insurance and cost

We check your benefits before your first visit and put the out-of-pocket cost on your plan before anything starts.

Common questions

Are you taking new patients?

Yes. Most new patients are seen within two days, and we hold same-day slots each morning for people who have just hurt their back or neck.

Do I have to be adjusted?

No. Adjustments are one tool. If you would rather not have your joints manipulated, we use gentle low-force techniques, soft tissue work and exercise instead, and we will not bring it up again.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on the problem, but we tell you our estimate at the first visit. Most recent back and neck pain settles in four to eight visits. We re-check at each milestone and discharge you when you are better.

Do you sell prepaid treatment packages?

No. You pay per visit, or your insurance does. There are no long-term contracts and no pressure to keep coming once you are well.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No. You can book directly. Some insurance plans ask for a referral to cover chiropractic care, and we will check that for you before your first visit.
