About Kestrel Ridge Chiropractic

An independent, doctor-owned clinic in Boise's North End since 2014. Two chiropractors, one massage therapist, and a front desk that knows your name.

Why we started

Dr. Leah Tran opened Kestrel Ridge in 2014 after several years in a high-volume clinic where every new patient was handed the same 36-visit plan. She wanted to run a practice where the plan fitted the problem, where patients could say no to an adjustment without an argument, and where success meant discharging people rather than keeping them.

Ten years on, we are still small on purpose. Two chiropractors, a licensed massage therapist, and appointments long enough to actually talk.

How we work

Every new patient gets a thorough history and exam. We explain what we found with a model and in plain English, tell you how many visits we expect, and write it down. Treatment combines hands-on care with exercises you can do at home in ten minutes a day.

We re-examine at set points so you can see whether you are improving. If you are not improving as expected, we change the plan or refer you on. We would rather send you to a colleague than keep treating something we cannot fix.

Meet the doctors

Dr. Leah Tran

Dr. Leah Tran, DC

Founder and chiropractor

Dr. Tran opened Kestrel Ridge in 2014 after five years in a high-volume clinic, where she decided she would rather see fewer patients and discharge them sooner. She trained at the University of Western States in Portland and holds additional certification in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic.

She is the doctor most of our first-time and nervous patients ask for. Outside the clinic she rides the Boise Greenbelt year round and grows far too many tomatoes.

Dr. Samir Qureshi

Dr. Samir Qureshi, DC, CCSP

Chiropractor, sports and spine

Dr. Qureshi joined the clinic in 2019 after working with collegiate athletes as a certified chiropractic sports physician. He trained at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota and focuses on low back pain, sciatica and running and lifting injuries.

He likes a clear plan and a measurable goal, whether that is a pain-free drive to work or a half marathon. Weekends usually find him on the Foothills trails.

Common questions

Are your chiropractors licensed in Idaho?

Yes. Both doctors are licensed by the Idaho State Board of Chiropractic Physicians and complete continuing education every year.

Is the clinic part of a franchise?

No. Kestrel Ridge is owned by Dr. Tran. There are no membership quotas or visit targets, and nobody is paid to keep you coming back.

Do you work with other providers?

Yes. We refer to and take referrals from local primary care doctors, physical therapists and orthopedists. If your problem needs something we do not do, we say so and send you to someone we trust.
